Wow!  What a Year … challenges to learn from, successes and failures, joys and sorrows; all leading to a perfect beginning point for 2016.

 BRING IT ON!

The year 2015 began with much soul searching as to where my artistic endeavors would lead me.  The time had come to decide which road to take.  I could continue to explore and stretch further into the business of art, or decide to be satisfied with just personally enjoying the “hobby”.   So many people walked into my life during this year, bringing with them new possibilities.  It is because of these people and our joint experiences that I decided to stretch even further, into even deeper unknown territory.  There have been no regrets.  I choose learning as much as I can possibly learn and finding ways to share the joy of that learning with as many people as possible in 2016.

We all have times in our lives where dealing with health issues becomes prominent, at least for a little while.  This was the year for me.  In the process of seeking out answers to these health issues, I turned to natural solutions.  I have learned so much and the health issues are now being dealt with successfully and through natural homeopathic avenues.  I am so impressed with the journey back to health, and I will be sharing some of the things I learned with you as we journey through 2016 because good health is a great contributor to the joys of life.  I will be adding a “Good Health” Category to the blog, just because I see it as being so important to success.

During 2015 Sergio Portillo joined our journey, teaching classes at Art & More.  We have had so much fun and have made so many new friends.  Even better than the creation process is the opportunity to meet so many unique and wonderful people.  I am looking forward to a wonderful year of classes taught by Sergio and I hope you will be able to come along and experience Art with Sergio.

In the summer of 2015 Arzetta Mimbs joined us with her colored pencil classes.  Arzetta is an accomplished watercolor artist and just as accomplished with her colored pencil creations.  Watch for more classes with Arzetta Mimbs during 2016.

I really love our children’s classes at Art & More.  We have classes for all ages and they produce such beautiful creations.  There is no better feeling than to watch as children discover their creative energy.

We will be adding even more opportunities for our young artists here at Art & More during this new year.  Watch for scheduled classes and even more teachers.

And then there is The Gallery, featuring a wonderful array of local artist, including Arzetta Mimbs, Ann McCutchen, Bonnie Davis, Judy Baggett, Gaylia Ray, Barbara Wastrack, Mary Linville, and numerous others.  We celebrate a featured artist each month and with all the talented artists in this area it is a challenge to choose which artist to feature each month.  There is so much talent in this area and we will be adding the works of more artists as we move through 2016.  We look forward to seeing you in 2016.
